Sweet Hut - Pantai Indah Kapuk
Saturday is the day,
When couples are busy dating,
When sleepyheads are busy sleeping all day long, and
Where it's time for the foodie to do another food hunting!
But wait...
This Saturday is very atypical for me.
Probably due to my super stressful and exhausting MBA preparation, I've lost my usual hunting spirit and couldn't be bothered to get out of my bad. But good news, one of my long lost group of friend invited me to have a chat over dinner which turned out to be supper which end up to be dessert. (yeay! save my calories intake). Bad news? no one was at home and neither is the car! so I ended up ordering a cab to go to Sweet Hut - Pantai Indah Kapuk. (it's not that hard to spot, since the place is big and so is the sign board)
I finally arrived there at 10pm. The dessert house itself is divided into outdoor and indoor area, hence making it quite big compared to other typical desserts house at PIK ( Sumoboo / Shirokuma). But even then, my friends were still in their waiting list! Wew! so much for good business @ Saturday nite. Luckily, after ONLY another 20 minutes of waiting, we had our table ready. As soon as we sat down, we ordered 4 of their desserts.
(I forgot to write down the name and price of each item, so I'll just put the name as what I think it is. teehee!).
'Oreo Shaved ice with caramel pudding'
*Woott Woott!! Recommended item!!*
I loveeee this one! why? because they added milk to the shaved ice so that the ice had its milky texture and taste! love it! and I can taste the egg mixture in the caramel pudding and unlike other caramel pudding this one is not overwhelming suit, well done! Since I am a milk and egg lover, I am simply sold for this one!
'Mango Sago with Mango Ice cream'
I personally think that you can get this dessert anywhere in town. Except the fact that the are using fresh mango and it does give a different level of freshness to this dessert.
'Coconut and caramel pudding'
A nice combination between coconut and caramel. Also served with fresh seasonal fruits. They are using the same caramel pudding as the one in the Oreo ice (above). The coconut pudding is made from real coconut water. For coconut meat lovers like me, this one is a must order dish, because they are using a young coconut and you know what young coconut has? Yup! delicious and chewy meat!
Overall, I will recommend this place to people who are looking for a decent dessert place in PIK area.
