SuMooBoo - Mall Taman Anggrek

Yeayy finally SuMooBoo has opened a (not so) new branch in Taman Anggrek and by the time this blog was made, SuMooBoo is going to open a new branch in the neighborhood shopping centre very soon. (Phew..talking about dominating West Jakarta market).
Since my project has moved to a place nearby Taman Anggrek, I am lucky enough to be able to visit SuMooBoo as often as I want. TeeHee.
By the way, a little insight for those who don't know or never heard of or haven't had the chance to visit SuMoBoo. SuMoBoo is a place which sells almost everything about Taiwan street food. From pearl milk tea, Taiwanese snacks, to Taiwanese dessert.

Anyhow, let's start with the review.

The infamous 'Nutella Bomb + Chocolate mountain + Sliced Almond' (IDR 40,000)

Okay, when I first visited this place, I have always been very curious about this nutella bomb. Because whenever I ask around, my friends have always recommend me this dish. So Nutella Bomb turned out to be mochi with Nutella filling insde. When you order this dish *name as mentioned above* you will get 4 nutella bombs and the rest is just what the menu describe. The nutella bombs are deliz of course. But for the rest, I'll leave the comment to each individual.

Like any other food places, SuMooBoo also has one distinct menu which has become their trademark (they hang the photo all over the stores),and this often sold out real fast on daily basis (Woaa!! can you imagine, how popular it is?) and it is called BOO!!Kakigori. The picture below is 'Macha BOO!!Kakigori' (IDR 30,000)

OMG!!it was so cute!! When I have a closer look at how it was actually created, I was amused at the creativity of the idea of how such a simple combination can create a cute iconic food. 'Macha BOO!!Kakigori' was created from mountain of match ice shaves 2 slices of strawberries as the ears, add 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream at the front, 3 pieces of Milo (or whatever brand they are using) as the eyes and nose..anddd there you go for a cute little BOO!!. After indulging myself with enough curiosity and photos, I went ahead and eat up the poor little BOO!!.
But I have to say what's good for the eyes don't necessarily good for the tongue. The macha ice shave was bland and tasteless, the vanila ice cream was just so-so (ordinary ice cream that you can find anywhere else). To be honest, I was quit disappointed with this menu.

Finally, one last menu to be reviewed ' Karaage Don' (IDR 47,000)

Even though SuMooBoo was more famous for its dessert menu, suprisingly this Karaage Don is quite good. Topped with sunny side up egg and nori.Simple yet delish! Yummm!!

Happy Eating People!!
