is how I would describe a perfectly miserable day.
You will, without a doubt, get into the awful Jakarta's traffic.
I guess that's how we welcome rainny season in Jakarta.
Sooo...in this 'awesome' traffic day, me and my friend decided to go to a place opposite of the city center to avoid the crazy traffic. Finally we made up our mind to go to PIK and try Cake A Boo, one of many newly sprung dessert shop.
Although it took us no less than 20 minutes to find a parking spot, luckily, we didn't have to wait that long to get a sit in the restaurant. Thanks to the existence of the owner who made the staff to work and moved non stop.
Like any other PIK's flats, the place is not very spacious. The restaurant sitting is divided into 2 sections. The front sitters are quite unique, because they embedded moving belt (like the sushi bar kind of style) on the middle of the table. But instead of sushi plates, they placed selections of their cakes. The back sitters are just the normal tables with 4 - 6 chairs.
Since this shop is specialized desserts, the menu served here is limited only to variety of cakes and sweets. Don't expect to find any savory or small bites here.
Below, I'll show the picture of most cakes available on the store (because I love you guys so much!!). But I can't really review most of the cakes, since I only had the chance to try the 'Mighty Green Parfait' (IDR 37,000). TEEHEE.
This one is all about green tea. Green tea cake, Green tea mouse, cookie crumble and finally topped with green tea ice cream, whipped cream, and strawberry piece to garnish. I didn't have the change to try the other cakes, but if you happen to visit this shop, I would recommend this one. The Green tea ice cream is a winner! it's not too sweet yet it brings out the green tea taste real nice! Combined together with the other ingredients, this really suits my taste in terms of sweetness level and its green tea flavor. YUM!

Aside from the affordable price (ranging from IDR 25,000 - 37,000 / piece of cake), I don't find any thing that attract my interest. In addition, the cakes' presentation and decoration are not tempting (Photo vs Reality!). I won't bother to make the extra effort and get all the way to PIK just to come to this restaurant.
