Branche Bistro - Senopati
Aloha Peeps!
Although today weather is mostly cloudy, I am still excited to write about my second blog in this month!
This time I am going to write about a new brunch place in Senopati called 'Branche Bistro'. I actually went to this bistro couple weeks ago, but just had the motivation to write about this now..soo..here it goes
When I first get into the restaurant, I was greeted by the waitress and escorted to the table. At the time of my visit, there were not so many people..maybe it was due to the fact that it was lunch time. The restaurant itself is divided into two sections. The first floor is indoor and non smoking area with beautiful natural light from the sunshine, while the second floor is designed similar to a rooftop bar and of course it is smoking area. The second floor is more popular at dinner time since it gives out more romantic vibe and you get quite a view from the rooftop area.
Anyway, back to the main story, I went there with some of my friends, and so I was able to sample different kind of dishes from the Branchee (Yeeyy!!). So, let's start with the menu that we ordered. For appetizer, we ordered "nachos grande" (IDR 72,000)
Although the nachos came with generous filling of chilli con carne topped with melted cheese, I personally think that the taste is only average but regardless of its taste, this nachos does really have a grande size and was meant to be shared for 3 - 4 people.
When I did my 'homework', most of the blog's recommendation goes to this one. So without much thinking, I pick this menu for our second appetizer..... I may sound exaggerating but I found this is the best Crispy Dory I have ever tasted in my entire food journey in Jakarta. The Dory was perfectly fried to crispy and it was perfectly accompanied by 'branche' home made tar tar sauce. simply YUM!!
Having enough with two appetizers, let's move on to the main course.
For the main course, we ordered 'Honey Glazed Salmon' (IDR 135,000).
Basically it was pan seared salmon on a bed of creamy spinach, glalzed with honey, and served with mash potato. I think the taste is just ok. But I may be biased because I always prefer salmon cooked in a eastern way (such as: teriyaki salmon) rather than western way *pardon my Asian tongue*
Next main course is 'Crispy Baramundi' (IDR 110,000)
Presentation wise, it is quite simple. But this is definitely a must try for those people looking for something different. It is a mixed of savory and sweet taste. and surprisingly combined very well in my opinion.
The last one is ' Papardelle Creamy Lobster " (IDR 120,000)
Delicious! this is one of the best creamy pasta I've ever tasted, Cooked with fresh lobster broth and accompanied by tiny bits of red bell pepper just enough to give the dish a peppery smell. And the Papardelle pasta was cooked al dente! OMG!! just thinking about this dish make me want to revisit the restaurant again!!lol
Anyway, that's all for my review for 'Branchee Bistro'. In shorts, I think I'll put this restaurant in my 'going-to-visit-again' list among bunch of other restaurants in Senopati. Happy Eating People :))
Rating :
1. Food = 8.5 out of 10
2. Ambiance = 8.5 out of 10
3. Service = 8 out of 10
4. Price = 8 out of 10
